Woman's Club of Madisonville Supports Mental Health Month

Mental Health Awareness Walk

We are so thankful for the collaboration with HCS Community Schools and Woman's Club of Madisonville! Through their partnership we are celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month with a guided walk at Unity Park. During the month of May Unity Park will have a guided walk with stations that offer strategies to improve mental health. Yesterday PE teacher Mr. Shaw led a lesson utilizing the guided walk with his 7th grade class. He did a wonderful job explaining each station in a way that was relevant to our students.

8th Grade Promotion Breakfast

Thank You For Supporting Our 8th Graders!

We continued our Promotion Day tradition by starting our day with our annual 8th grade breakfast from Golden Glaze. We were blessed with words of wisdom from Rev. McAdoo, Mr. Gobin, and Mr. Arnett. We are so thankful for our community partners from Life Christian Center for serving the delicious meal provided by our Youth Services Center.

HCS Community Schools Unveiling

On June 7th at the HCS Community Schools Unveiling we revealed how we plan to utilize the $75,000 awarded to our school by the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence. We've been blessed with the feedback provided by our stakeholders on how we want to see the money spent. We are very excited to see how this will positively impact our community as a whole. It's always a great day to be a Bear!
